Is there any alcohol in the packet itself?

A trace, from the bitters and orange extract—less than half of the alcohol concentration of vanilla extract. It only becomes a cocktail once you add your own spirit.

How is this different from a bottle of cocktail syrup?

A bottle takes up space in the fridge and expires faster once it's open, gums up at the lid as the sugar dries, and doesn't travel. Our packets are single-serve and shelf-stable, so every pour is fresh and you can take one anywhere. That's the whole idea behind the format.

How do I make the drink?

Pour the packet into a rocks glass with ice. Add 2 oz of bourbon, rye, or your whiskey of choice. Stir for 30 seconds. Garnish with an orange peel if you have one. See our Ten Old Fashioned variations for more builds.

Do the packets really not need refrigeration?

Correct. They're shelf stable. Drop a packet in a jacket pocket, a glove box, a backpack, or a hotel room, and it holds up.

How long do the packets last?

12 months on your shelf, 24 from production. The Best By date is printed on the box and on each packet. No fridge required. Really.
